Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, A Four Seasons Hotel

Opened in 1908 at the tip of the Cap-Ferrat peninsula, the Grand-Hôtel stands in about seven hectares of Mediterranean gardens, and Four Seasons has run it since 2015. The Belle Époque main building holds the classic palace rooms. In 2009 Pierre-Yves Rochon added a second building, renamed Les Terrasses du Cap in 2025, whose Pool Terrace Suites have private heated pools on terraces shaded by Aleppo pines. Three villas, Rose Pierre, Beauchamp and Clair Soleil, stand apart in the grounds, each with a pool of its own.

The signature of the house is Club Dauphin, a heated seawater infinity pool set on the rocks above the sea since 1939 and reached by a glass funicular from the gardens. Beside it are private cabanas and a Mediterranean grill, and for decades the swimming teacher Pierre Gruneberg taught generations of guests to swim here, Picasso among them. The spa, also designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon, covers about 750 square metres with an indoor pool, steam rooms and saunas, three sea view cabanas and Bonpoint treatments for children.

Le Cap, under Yoric Tièche, holds a Michelin star in the 2026 guide and serves dinner from April to late October, on a terrace shaded by tall Aleppo pines. The complimentary kids club for four to twelve year olds was redesigned in 2025 with a treetop adventure course and more than 4,000 square metres of open air play areas. Dogs are accepted in the rooms, one per room or suite, though not at Club Dauphin, in the spa or in the restaurants.
